- Kids Tune into Message of Love and Anti-Bullying this Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day is a favorite holiday of kids, with classroom celebrations and cards and candy exchanged. But February also has the 24th, which is International STAND UP to Bullying Day. It is a month of love for your fellow man and a month near and dear to children's entertainer, Riff Rockit's heart.
"The thing about bullying is it can happen to anybody and at any age," says Evan Michael, a.k.a., Riff Rockit, who was bullied as a young child "And it lingers inside you for a while. When someone bullies you, it's hard to not take those experiences and those scars with you no matter how well adjusted you are. Music got me through it and I hope my music will help to uplift kids and get them through any tough times they may go through as well."
His debut CD, Riff Rockit, which released January 24 on iTunes, Amazon, and RiffRockit.com, features many uplifting, positive songs for children that encourage them always to be kind-hearted. One such song, "Hero," offers these inspiring words: "Truth is, it's easy to make a difference/ When someone sad needs a spark/ Sharing a smile is the perfect way to start/ It's all about what's in your heart."
